Sunday Funday.

7km in 46:00.

It was not fun to get up in time this morning. But I did it anyway.

I had a lot of stitches while running—which is life telling me I need to get my ass to the gym and do more abs! (Well aware, world, but thanks for the reminder).

Now I’m off to run a bunch of errands before my runner’s high wears off and I spend the rest of the day in bed.

Ikea-Chapters-Starbucks-Apple seems like a good start.

Lazy Saturday afternoon gave me a chance to play a little guitar. Here’s my cover of ‘Pumped Up Kicks’. Hope you like!

It helps if you picture Katt Williams narrating. ›

Dilemma.

If your roommate’s boyfriend’s friends go on a racist rant about your roommate in public (on facebook), and your roommate’s boyfriend doesn’t stop it but encourages it, even jokingly, is there a situation where it’s okay for her to stay with him?

Next week on Fear Factor: Donkey piss and semen.

Contestants, you know you can’t undrink that right?

Almost time to get poked.

…with needles, that is! Get your minds out of the gutter.

Seriously? THAT’S a selling point of your clinic?!

Allergy testing tonight! Because I am apparently allergic to a mysterious substance that’s in every food. We’re talking full on hivey, body rash. It’s super embarrassing.

In unrelated news, I have been wearing turtlenecks to work daily.

I hate going to the doctor. Not because I’m scared or anything; I just am stubborn and hate how long everything takes. Unless I physically can’t walk, don’t make me sit there! Put me in, Coach!

What’s a little hot flash, hives, and blurred vision anyway? It goes away eventually.

Confession: I’m more going because I want to know what I’m allergic to than what I can do about it.

I’ll keep you posted. Hopefully I can take a cool picture or two with like 30 needles in my arm at once. #wishfulthinking #itwontbethatexciting

10-Vegetable Fusili Bolognaise - my own recipe. Best way to spend a Wednesday night!

3km tempo run in the books. Felt like I sprinted it. Still don’t have a watch so I never know how fast I’m going until it’s over and I can ask the pacers.

…we did it in an avg of 5:49. That’s 16:47. Definitely felt like I worked out after that one! I still have no concept of time, so whether that’s fast or slow, I have no clue. It felt fast is all I can tell you!

Met a really cool girl whose name is either Taylor or Laura (I’m terrible at remembering names the first time people tell me, and way worse if it’s multiple names at once). We’re in the same pace group, live down the street from each other, and will probably go to the gym together on off-days. Yay for new friends! Once I learn her name. Ha!

Time to stop being a sloth on the couch and shower make food with the copious amount of vegetables sitting in my crisper! Eggplant ragu is looking pretty good tonight!

is making me very unproductive and grumpy at work today. I just want to travel the world!

How much difference (less than) a year makes:

Tahrir (Freedom) Square in Cairo on January 25, 2012, the anniversary of the uprising that ousted Mubarak and ushered in a new era for Egypt. Can’t believe so much has happened to the same place I stood this past fall.
